Barbie is a native of Carmel, California. After raising 2 sons, Barbie grew increasingly disenchanted with the high cost of home ownership, traffic and crowding on the central California coast. She set out on a “mid-life adventure” and followed her oldest son to North Carolina. She felt an immediate affinity for the Hickory area and its people. Several years ago, she received her Associates Degree in Architecture Technology at Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory. She began working for a waterfront developer and her Real Estate career began! As a child Barbie spent her summers camping and water-skiing with her family and she did the same with her own children. Helping others find their "little spot of paradise" at the lake to build memories with their families has become a true passion. Barbie's words on her career choice sum it up: “I get to walk in the woods and meet great people! What more could I ask for?”
